Born in Israel in 1997, Nur Meisler discovered his passion for the bassoon at the age of 14. He started his studies with Richard Paley at the Giv’atayim Conservatory and later graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Nur then moved to Berlin to attend the Barenboim-Saïd Akademie, where he received guidance from Mor Biron and Klaus Thunemann.

In 2023, he garnered recognition with the second prize at the Muri Competition.

Nur has performed under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, Kirill Petrenko, Tugan Sokhiev, Zubin Mehta, Alan Gilbert, and Sir Simon Rattle. He has performed as solo bassoon in orchestras such as NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Konzerthaus Orchestra, Radio Symphony Berlin, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and Stuttgarter Kammerorchester.
